The Department of Counselor, Leadership, and Special Education at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for Department Chair of Counseling, Leadership, and Special Education as a tenure track position in Counseling at the Associate Professor/Professor level to begin Fall 2025 or until filled. This position is a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position with a usual course load of three courses per academic year. The Department of Counseling, Leadership, and Special Education offers undergraduate programs in special education and graduate programs in counseling, leadership, and special education. In particular, the Counselor Education Program area includes two CACREP accredited programs: the master’s programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, as well as the Education Specialist programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. A new concentration of “Counselor Education & Supervision” within our Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program will start in Fall 2025.
